Does Roblox have opportunities outside of the Bay Area or can I work remotely?
We do not offer remote opportunities at this time. You will be expected to work from our HQ in San Mateo, CA following a hybrid work model of 3 days in office and 2 days working from home. We offer interns a housing stipend to cover their cost of living for the summer, and our full-time candidates may receive a comprehensive relocation package.
Should I get a referral instead of applying directly?
We encourage you to apply, even without the need of a referral. At Roblox, referrals will not receive preferential treatment in our recruiting process. This allows us to keep our recruiting process fair and equitable.
How does team matching work at Roblox?
Candidates who have accepted offers at Roblox will go through the team matching process a few weeks before their start date. All incoming interns and full-time candidates will have the opportunity to learn about the available teams and the work they are doing. You will rank your preferences, and we will match you with a team that aligns with your interests.
Does Roblox have opportunities in AI, Cybersecurity, VR, etc.?
Roblox has several teams such as Creator, Economy, InfoSec, Infrastructure, User, Growth, and Safety that are open for team matching. They all work on innovative but different technical projects and challenges. We are certain that we have a team that is doing work that aligns with your interests.
Does Roblox have other Early Career Talent roles besides SWE opportunities?

When are the start dates for these roles?
Roblox offers a variety of start dates for both intern and full-time candidates. You'll work with your recruiter to establish which start date best accommodates to your availability.
